Inside the Victorian Gazebo

Inside the gazebo is a fanciful Victorian sofa with floral upholstery and throw pillows. Famed late actor Wilfred Brimley was copied in 1:12 scale by Sharon Cariola. He is eating popcorn and relaxing. The tall sunflower was made by Deb Ann. It is amazingly realistic. Michal Gvir made the grey chubby squirrel and the detailed chestnuts and nutcracker are from Italy. I used a hand painted vintage bench as a table. The late Karen Markland made that decades ago. There’s a lot more to see in the gazebo-this is a taste of more to come.

Queen Victoria’s Home

This two story Victorian room box-was made by Tony Alan Jones. I designed it and his talent put it all together. The furnishings are a combination of vintage and new miniatures. Natasha floor screen, Rene Isabelle fireplace screen, Rene’s round table and chairs-all hand-painted.

The harpsichord is by June Clinksales. Gramophone by Aida Prava. Dogs are Michal Gvir. I wanted to be historically accurate and all breeds shown here were owned by Queen Victoria. Paintings by Masaya Okada. Queen Victoria, Albert and the maid who looks like Betty White the late great actress are by Sharon Cariola. The Duchess who bears an uncanny resemblance to actress Maggie Smith by Sylvain Forget. The child upstairs is by Irina Martin. Chairs and table upstairs are by John Hodgson.

Dollhouse Miniature Room-the Seamstress

The dolls in the bedroom were made by my friend Sylvain Forget. As you can see the doll the little girl is holding is missing a leg. Her mischievous brother is holding it! My friend Michal Gvir made the realistic basset hound named Homer. The petit point pillows and work in progress embroidery stand are by Nicola Mascall. Deana Karras made the paintings of the Pino and Princess Diana. Retired artist Linda Fisher made the cats. Tarbena made the wingchair. Renee Isabelle made the vintage chair near the telephone.

Dollhouse Miniature Room Box of Julia Child’s French Country Kitchen

Tony Alan Jone’s made the room box and my friend Sharon Cariola created the 1:12 scale Julia Child. Dear Sylvain Forget created the children. I was inspired by the movie Julie and Julia, and my memories of Julia Child on television, so I created this room in homage to Julia Child the French Chef.

The stained glass door, window, and celling fixture are by Barbara Sabia. Paintings are by Michael Reynolds and Christopher Sparrow. Jason Getzan, Nicola Mascall, Valeria, Sandra Rubin, Crown Jewel Miniatures, the English Kitchen, and Kiva Atkinson, all contributed to the room. Helen Archoleka made the table and chairs and the flower trimmed hutch. If you try you can smell the goose cooking!

“The Odd Couple” starring Danny Devito and Dwayne Johnson.

Louise Glass Blog About One of my 1:12 scale room boxes entitled “The Odd Couple” starring Danny Devito and Dwayne Johnson.

I have been a dollhouse miniature collector and enthusiast since I was 21 years old and post the rooms on Facebook. I have been featured in American Miniaturist and Miniature Collector Magazines.

My dearest friends are artisans who make the miniatures. All of them have been excited about reading Dream Lover in its completion since I began posting excerpts on my Facebook Louise Glass Author Page. If any of you are dollhouse miniature collectors I would love to converse with you.

Tony Alan Jones made the roombox. My pal Sharon Cariola made the dolls. Barbara Sabia made all the stained glass. My friend June Clinksales made the wing chair and hassock and the coffee table. Fatima J Dona made the jumping goldfish. Neil Carter made the bronze statues. David Castillo made the blue sofa. Masaya Okada made the painting over the fireplace. Michael Reynolds made the Jewish Dogs painting. Linda Fisher made the German Shepherds. Michal Gvir made the tiny dachshund on the sofa and the realistic cat on the staircase. Carlotta Rossi made the wine. Susan Van Tubbergen made most of the pottery.
