Will Turner watched as his daughter struggled in vain to
remain earthbound, and it broke his heart seeing how unhappy
she was. When she vanished, his thoughts returned to his wife.
Janet did not fear his presence anymore. Will smiled at the memory
of Janet holding the lilacs. He had kissed her for the first time
since his death, and it had been beautiful. Will wanted his wife
badly, even though he knew it could never be. But he was grateful
to have witnessed Suzanne’s marriage to Seth. His daughter had
never looked more radiant. Time was running out, so Will took
one last glance at Janet, who was as lovely as the day they wed
over thirty years ago, and then he vanished into the light to join
his daughter.
