Arianna’s Story-A Sensual Spicy Encounter Between Ghostly Spirit and His Very Human Wife

  Chapter Twenty-One

Janet Turner frequently found herself lost in the memories of her late husband, Will, who had haunted her since his death and left her no respite from his absence. Time had not helped the memories fade, but the solace of knowing that Will’s spirit lived on brought some comfort to Janet.

Her husband had been a deeply passionate man, and their marriage had always been free of any intimacy issues until the very end when cancer and the exhausting effects of chemotherapy drained his vitality. Deep in the throes of Morpheus, Janet turned onto her back and felt delightful warm kisses feathering the silky skin of her face, making her feel warm with desire as the kisses continued. Lips sipped from her mouth, and passions grew high as her lush lips parted in response to his ardor. Janet lay there as she was tongue kissed, sighing in contentment.

It had been so long since Janet felt a touch on her skin, soon she craved more, her arms opening to her phantom lover. He heeded her needs and settled between her legs, nudging at her small opening and gently pushing inside. Soon, his strokes grew in intensity, and Janet clung to him, urging him on. He stiffened, and she gasped aloud as they reached climax together. Who knew a dream could be so sexy and sensual? She thought in her dream state, basking in the pleasure the night wrought.

The straps of Janet’s silk and lace nightgown slid down her arms, keeping them pinned at her sides. Masculine hands caressed her full, silky breasts again and again. She moaned in sweet torture; her nipples licked and suckled the way she loved. Janet was a prisoner of passion as her lover kept up the sweet torture. Suckling on each nipple and then pushing her full, plump lushness together as he feasted on both nubbins. Janet was out of her mind with desire, writhing on the bed like a wild thing as he held her breasts to his eager mouth.

“More,” Janet whispered in her sleep. She felt her legs spread wide, and the cool air tantalized her. Touching her where she needed it the most.

Masculine fingers caressed her swollen clitoris and labia, feeling how wet she was. Janet was dying from the pleasure as warm lips and tongue tasted her juice, reveled in its sweetness, and brought her to climax. Exhausted, Janet fell into a deeper sleep, a slight smile on her beautiful face.

As the clock struck 8 a.m., Janet slowly began to stir. She awoke to find the draperies drawn open, allowing sunlight to stream through the windows, bathing her in a warm golden glow. As she stretched and yawned, a gloriously happy feeling washed over her. Her mind wandered back to the delightful dream she had just experienced. Upon sitting up in bed, she noticed the nightgown straps were off her shoulders, exposing her breasts.

Janet was feeling quite amorous, making her nipples hard and tingle with desire. For a fleeting moment, Janet wondered if the dream could have been genuine and then berated herself for being foolish. However, she gazed around the room, and her eyes fell upon the well-worn Tom Clancy novel that had been her late husband’s favorite. It was open with Will’s bookmark resting on it. She sat there gently touching her lips, and a wistful smile played across her face. She lightly pulled the silken nightgown straps over her shoulders, hoping Will would return soon for more nocturnal visits.

Dream Lover Reviews

Time to time I will post some of the various reviews Dream Lover has gotten and when Dream Lovers, the second book in the series is published their reviews will show here too. Enjoy reading the Dream Lover Series!

Here is my favorite review so far. The reviews make the hard work all worthwhile and honestly there is nothing I love than writing the Dream Lover series!

“Dream Lover” by Louise Glass is an electrifying blend of the paranormal, romance, and stark reality, taking readers on a rollercoaster ride through love, the afterlife, and the thin veil between worlds. The novel showcases a triumvirate of strong, dedicated women – Ali, Lizzie, and Suzanne – whose lives intertwine with the supernatural in breathtaking ways. Each character is deftly crafted with complexities and personal struggles, making them relatable and endearingly human.

The heart of the narrative lies in the unbreakable bond of friendship among the three women, tested and strengthened by otherworldly forces and traumatic events. Glass’s portrayal of their love and support for each other provides a warm, grounding contrast to the chilling encounters with the afterlife.

The paranormal elements are woven with a masterful touch, intertwining the characters’ lives with ghosts, astral projection, and near-death experiences. These elements are a gateway to exploring profound themes of life, death, and what might lie beyond, providing a unique twist that sets the book apart from typical genre novels.

Adding to the book’s unique flavor is the inclusion of zany and lovable pets, epitomized by Fred, the cockatoo with a personality larger than life. His antics and emotional reactions add a layer of humor and warmth, making the story’s darker themes more digestible.

However, “Dream Lover” does not shy away from the harsher realities of life. It tackles difficult topics such as assault with unflinching honesty, an aspect that might be jarring against the backdrop of psychic phenomena and romance. The graphic nature of Suzanne’s ordeal is a stark reminder of the evils present in our world, perhaps drawing a parallel to the unknown malice that could exist in other realms.

Glass’s writing style is immersive, particularly excelling in dialogue, as praised by professionals from Harper Collins. The conversations between characters are genuine, often laced with quick wit and heartfelt emotion, further solidifying the characters’ relatability and the reader’s investment in their journeys.

The romantic subplots are handled with care, ranging from sweet and tender to frustratingly realistic. Each relationship is unique, contributing to the characters’ development and the overall plot. Particularly noteworthy is Lizzie and Jack’s tumultuous relationship, filled with humorous misunderstandings and genuine affection, encapsulating the book’s theme of love in all its forms.

The book culminates in an uplifting ending, promising more adventures while also serving as a standalone triumph. The epilogue, especially, is a touching testament to the novel’s exploration of existence beyond death, offering a hopeful perspective on loss and eternal connection.

In conclusion, “Dream Lover” is a commendable novel for those who enjoy a blend of romance, supernatural elements, and real-world grit. Its commitment to portraying deep, heartfelt relationships, both romantic and platonic, sets it apart in the genre, making it a memorable read.

This fun romantic read by Louise Glass is an opulent saga overflowing with everyone’s three favorite things: sex, money, and food. The slightly larger than life characters – including a toddler-like cockatoo named Fred – are entertaining in a “Sex and the City” crossed with “The Twilight Zone” fashion, and the fact that they’re all very spoiled adds to the humor and charm. A few dark scenes do pop up, but they don’t cut deeply enough to disrupt the supernatural surface flow, and they help serve to keep the characters jumping. From early on, you’ll get the idea that all will turn out well in the end in the spirit of other good fairy tales. And speaking of ‘the end,’ the final chapter (actually the epilogue) is so brilliant and unexpected it deserves Fives Stars on its own. Dive in, get a copy of Dream Lover and enjoy! Bob Tarte

“Dream Lover” invites readers into a captivating world where friendship, romance, and the paranormal converge in a unique urban contemporary fantasy. Glass skillfully weaves a tale that is both highly imaginative and emotionally charged, delivering a well-written page-turner that defies typical genre boundaries.

The story revolves around three best friends – Ali, Lizzie, and Suzanne – whose lives take a supernatural turn when one of them discovers newfound psychic gifts. Glass masterfully explores themes of life after death, astral projection, and soul mates, creating a narrative that is both engaging and thought-provoking.

What sets “Dream Lover” apart is its blend of spicy scenes without delving into erotica, ensuring the focus remains on the intricate dialogue and three-dimensional characters. The friendship and love among the trio are beautifully portrayed, with each character finding their true soul mate. Glass’s background as an interior designer adds authenticity to the vivid descriptions, enhancing the overall immersive experience.

The introduction of zany pets, particularly the toddler-like cockatoo Fred, injects humor into the narrative, balancing the darker elements, such as Suzanne’s harrowing experience. The author tackles sensitive issues, including assault, with necessary gravity, using them to drive the plot forward and unravel unexpected twists.

The paranormal elements, including astral projection and encounters with ghosts, add depth to the narrative. The epilogue, extending beyond typical paranormal endings, delivers a profound and uplifting twist that resonates with readers.

“Dream Lover” is a fast-paced and engaging read, seamlessly blending elements of “Sex and the City” with the supernatural intrigue of “The Twilight Zone” and the investigative drama of “Law and Order SVU.” Glass’s storytelling is both creative and powerful, crafting a narrative that is as chilling and intense as it is compassionate and optimistic.

Readers are sure to enjoy the rich relationships among the characters, the steamy scenes, the delightful presence of Fred the Cockatoo, and the exploration of the paranormal. Glass’s ability to infuse wit and humor into the narrative ensures that even in the darkest moments, the story remains lighthearted and joyful.

In summary, “Dream Lover” is a compelling, multifaceted novel that offers a fresh take on the urban fantasy genre. Louise Glass’s ability to blend romance, humor, and the paranormal results in a satisfying and unforgett
able read.

I’m a sucker for a good romance novel full of drama and titillating love scenes. I also really enjoy fantasy and stories with a supernatural twist. This recommendation from Amazon hit both of their marks and I have to say that I very much enjoyed this premiere book in what feels like will be a very fun series. This paranormal romance novel is full of suspense, mystery, and of course, the aforementioned love scenes. The plot is centered around three best friends. You have Ali, the psychic medium who is able to see the future. Then there’s Suzanne, the overly trusting friend who gets assaulted and briefly dies under some very messed up circumstances but is given a chance to come back to life. Finally, there’s Lizzie, who is the most grounded of the three in that she’s not supernatural but is very much just a regular woman, beautiful and sweet with faults and insecurities that many people can relate to. The supernatural nature of the book is a very enticing element that helps drive the story and makes it more fun than the typical basic drama you get in these types of books. I will say that I very much enjoyed Lizzie’s relationship with Jack, from the hilarious start of thinking she’s a hooker to the bickering and fighting between them over nonsense, that very much reminded me of past relationships. The story of Ali connecting with Steve is a match made in heaven. Steve is also a psychic, so it’s a dynamic that works well because realistically, how would one be able to relate to someone with such powers otherwise? And of course, he’s rich and handsome because why wouldn’t he be? I also really loved Ali’s talking cockatoo, Fred, who has the funniest lines and made me laugh a lot. Suzanne has the darkest story from what’s happened to her and without spoiling too much, there is a major plot point involving her twin sister that perfectly sets up for where the next book is going, which is incredibly exciting. The intermixing of the living and spiritual realms made for a very captivating read with excellent world-building. I’m very much looking forward to reading the next one.

The life of a psychic is never a simple one. However, Ali never thought that she would turn out to contain such gifts—gifts which inevitably turn her life upside-down and bring all sorts of conflict onboard. However, this gift isn’t all bad…

The story of “Dream Lover” is driven mainly by its endearing and lovable cast of characters. With Ali being the psychic, she is suddenly thrown into the responsibility of containing her gifts while also falling for the other psychic who’s been visiting her in her dreams, who turns out to be the rich and famous CEO Steve Farrell.

Then there’s Lizzie, who’s amassed quite a few insecurities with her terribly low self-esteem, though she tries to cover it up with sarcasm and humor. When she meets a cop at an upscale bar, he at first believes that she’s a sex worker, leading to miscommunication, which then turns to bickering as the two get to know one another.

Finally, Suzanne winds up in an awful situation and faces the unimaginable—the afterlife. There is an assault which takes place in this book, so be forewarned! This assault on Suzanne brings her to the hospital, where she is officially dead for a time (during which she sees the afterlife) before her doctor saves her.

I loved “Dream Lover” from start to finish! I loved the injections of humor in the form of Fred—the mischievous Sulphur-crested cockatoo who’s jealous of Steve and who begs for Cheez Doodles from Ali at every given opportunity. I loved the seriousness, too—the assault is petrifying to read and the stakes are always high in this book.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a character-driven story to warm your heart and remind you how precious life and friendship really are.

Dollhouse Miniature Vignette Box for Dracula

Years ago I watched a young Frank Langella play Count Dracula on Broadway. His performance blew me away. I commissioned my friend Sharon Cariola to make me Frank Langella as the Count. She also supplied the chair he sits in. Cyndi Cannon took one of her dolls and turned it into a female vampire dripping blood!

There is a hand painted screen and spooky haunted candles and vampires of all shapes and sizes. The “Hand” was a lucky find. Sally Brennan made the vampire baby in mosses basket and the vampire children. The baby dragon on the Count’s lap is by retired artist Cathy Reve. The baby squid in a teacup is by Kiva Atkinson.

Dollhouse Miniature Room-the Seamstress

The dolls in the bedroom were made by my friend Sylvain Forget. As you can see the doll the little girl is holding is missing a leg. Her mischievous brother is holding it! My friend Michal Gvir made the realistic basset hound named Homer. The petit point pillows and work in progress embroidery stand are by Nicola Mascall. Deana Karras made the paintings of the Pino and Princess Diana. Retired artist Linda Fisher made the cats. Tarbena made the wingchair. Renee Isabelle made the vintage chair near the telephone.
